vPromotions automatically send your web contest Plays to Aptivada and then sends the winner back to the Plays!
IMPORTANT: you must have an account with Audience to access the web contesting abilities described here. For more information about Audience, we encourage you to visit www.audience.io.
Step One: Contact vCreative & Audience
You'll need to contact both vCreative and Audience to make sure that the integration is enabled on both sides.
Your vCreative Client Services Manager, or anyone on the vCreative Help Desk will know how to activate the Audience integration for use by your group, and your Audience representative can assist in making sure that your stations are activated there as well.
Step Two: Connect Stations
In Settings / Firm / Stations, check the checkbox in the Use Audience column next to the station for which you are enabling the Audience API.
On checking the box, a form will pop up asking for your Audience account details for the Station. Go to your Audience account in a different tab or window and navigate to your Edit Account Details screen for the correct information to enter here:
- Enter your Audience Account ID for that Station
- Enter the Contact Email from your Audience Profile under "Edit Account Details"
- Click Verify Account
vPromotions will link to that Station's Audience account.
Step Three: Assign Aptivada to PRF Category
Go to Settings / vPromo / PRF Categories and either find or create a "Web Contest" or "Audience Contest" PRF Category.
Click on the Edit icon (pencil) in the Actions column and in the Category Form check the box labeled "Use Audience." Then click "Save."
How It Works
Within the PRF (with the Audience-enabled PRF Category), create the contest Play(s) as needed and assign the Prize(s), etc. in the Wizard.
After Plays are created and Prizes are assigned, from the Details tab, go to the green Actions button. From the Actions menu, choose "Take Me to Audience." This will send your to your Audience account for editing and posting.
After choosing a winner in Audience (note that you cannot choose a winner for the Plays in vPromotions), the winner is sent back to vPromotions for fulfillment at your Front Desk. You'll see the winner listed in the Plays tab in the PRF Details.
