How to Pull Database Reports on Your Listeners Using Database Query

This article will guide you through using the Database Query tool to generate detailed reports about your listeners. These reports can help you better understand your audience—such as their birthdays, age ranges, gender, household size, and more.

For example, you can use this feature to find the median age of your listeners or to identify specific demographic segments for targeted campaigns.

Accessing the Database Query Tool

  1. Navigate to:
    Front DeskDatabase Query

  2. Under Criteria, select a station.

    • You can select multiple stations at once.

Adding Conditions to Your Report

  1. Click Add Condition to specify the information you’d like to include in the report (e.g., Age).

  2. Once you select your first option, a second dropdown menu will appear, allowing you to choose a condition such as:

    • Between

    • Less Than

    • Is

  3. Selecting one of these options may prompt a third dropdown to refine your criteria further (e.g., choosing a specific birthday range).

  4. Continue adding conditions until you’re satisfied with your criteria.

    • If you only want a single category, select it and click Submit.

Viewing and Adjusting Results

  • Your results will appear below the search area.

  • If no results appear, adjust your criteria and resubmit.

Modifying the Report Layout

  1. Click Modify Layout.

  2. The right column shows the fields currently included in your report.

    • Click the red “X” next to any field to remove it.

  3. The left column lists all available fields you can add.

    • Drag and drop any field from the left to the right column to include it in your report.

  4. Click Apply to update your report.

Saving and Exporting Your Report

  1. Once your report is set, click Save.

  2. Enter a Query Name so you can reuse it later.
