How to Ban a Listener in Your Station or Market

If you need to ban a listener from participating in contests within your local market or station, follow the steps below. Please note that bans do not apply company-wide. The instructions here are for local station or market-level bans only.

Important Notes Before You Begin

  • Bans must be applied individually per station.

  • There is no global ban across all stations without corporate-level intervention.

  • A note will be automatically recorded in the listener’s profile once banned from a station.

Steps to Ban a Listener at the Station Level

  1. Navigate to Front Desk
Go to Front Desk > Listener Database > Listeners.

  2. Search for the Listener
Use the search tools to locate the listener's profile.

  3. Open the Listener Profile
    Click into the winner's profile.

  4. Ban the Listener from the Station
In the top-left corner of the profile, check the box labeled:
    “Listener banned from this station”.

If you manage multiple stations and wish to ban the listener from more than one:

  • You must log in to each station's account and repeat the steps above.

  • A note will be added to the listener’s profile for each ban, identifying the station by its call letters (e.g., Banned from WXYZ).

What Happens After a Listener is Banned

  • If a banned listener is selected or added to a contest:

    • A pop-up warning will appear stating:
“This listener has been banned from winning contests on this station.”

    • The listener cannot be saved to the contest.

If a company-wide ban is required, please have a corporate administrator contact us directly via email. This type of action must be discussed with our programming team before proceeding.
