If you need to ban a listener from participating in contests within your local market or station, follow the steps below. Please note that bans do not apply company-wide. The instructions here are for local station or market-level bans only.
Important Notes Before You Begin
-
Bans must be applied individually per station.
-
There is no global ban across all stations without corporate-level intervention.
-
A note will be automatically recorded in the listener’s profile once banned from a station.
Steps to Ban a Listener at the Station Level
-
Navigate to Front Desk
Go toFront Desk > Listener Database > Listeners
. -
Search for the Listener
Use the search tools to locate the listener's profile. -
Open the Listener Profile
Click into the winner's profile. -
Ban the Listener from the Station
In the top-left corner of the profile, check the box labeled:
“Listener banned from this station”.
If you manage multiple stations and wish to ban the listener from more than one:
-
You must log in to each station's account and repeat the steps above.
-
A note will be added to the listener’s profile for each ban, identifying the station by its call letters (e.g., Banned from WXYZ).
What Happens After a Listener is Banned
-
If a banned listener is selected or added to a contest:
-
A pop-up warning will appear stating:
“This listener has been banned from winning contests on this station.” -
The listener cannot be saved to the contest.
-
If a company-wide ban is required, please have a corporate administrator contact us directly via email. This type of action must be discussed with our programming team before proceeding.
