All data is secured by encryption as it travels back and forth over the internet. In addition, social security numbers stored in our system are encrypted and any document such as a winner release form or W-9 form containing a social security number is stored as an encrypted document.
Additionally, our website is PCI DSS Validated on a quarterly basis, meaning it goes through regular security checks to make sure it's following strict industry standards for protecting sensitive information.
For the technical minded out there
We use TLS 1.2 to encrypt data in transit and data is stored on servers in separate trusted DMZ zones and transmitted between servers in the data center on VLANS. Databases are in different security firewall zones, separate from the web applications.
