HubSpot Associations allows you to manage where communications are logged

In HubSpot, you will see an Associations dropdown in many features; Tickets, Emails, Notes, Deals and other areas. Clicking the dropdown allows you to add or remove communication associations if needed.
NOTE: As a company, we default all communications to be associated with Contacts and Companies.
Similar to logging from your email inbox using the Gmail integration, clicking on the associations dropdown allows you to connect a communication with several different features within HubSpot.
This is a helpful tool if a piece of communication should be associated with more than one ticket or deal or note. Or if there is a piece of communication which needs to be removed from a feature in HubSpot.
