Using the Pick Random Utility to Assign Contest Winners

Once you have gathered a list of registrants for a contest, whether via a Registration Contest within PromoSuite Next, online registration via a PromoSuite Mail Sign Up Form (which is available as a Registration Contest within PromoSuite Next), or via our integration with Audience, you can pick (a) random winner(s) via this utility.

You will need to create a contest (Standard or Online) in PromoSuite Next to which you add your prize(s).  Once the contest is complete and the registration period has ended, you can use the Pick Random utility to pick one or more winners for your contest.

1. **Front Desk > Listener Database > Utilities > Pick Random:**
   - Navigate to find the Registration Contest used to collect entries..

2. **View Entrants:**
   - Review the list of participants in the contest.

3. **Pick Random Winners:**
   - Locate the “Pick Random” button above the list of entrants.
   - Click on this button to initiate the winner selection process.

4. **Adjust Settings (if desired):**
   - If you want to adjust for the number of times an entrant has entered, set your preferences in the options provided.

5. **Click Pick Random:**
   - After clicking “Pick Random,” you will see the selected winners displayed on your screen.

6. **Mark Contest Winners:**
   - Click the “Mark Contest Winners” button to assign the chosen winners to the contest you created.

7. **Re-pick Winners (if needed):**
   - If you want to select different winners, click “Show All” to return to the list of entrants.
   - Repeat the “Pick Random” steps to choose new winners.
