vProMedia Release Notes v90 Build: 2.0.822

New settings are available for in-flight and post-flight workflows

The initial Ad type setting, "Disallow inflight changes," enables organizations to impose limitations on the modifications that can be made to an advertisement during its scheduled broadcast period.

When the ad type setting "Disallow inflight changes" is activated, users will be restricted from making any modifications to an advertisement that is currently on air. Instead, they will only have the option to Copy, Extend, End, or End & Replace the ad that is within its scheduled broadcast period.

If the user chooses to End the ad, they will be prompted to input a new end date before finalizing the process. The spot will then be updated with the new end date, and the status will automatically progress to End Flight.

If the user selects End & Replace, they will be prompted to enter the new end date, then click Finish. The spot will update with the new end date, the status will automatically advance to End Flight, and a Copy Process will open to begin a replacement spot that will be submitted as a new order.

In both instances, the spot ending will have cleared completion checks for Traffic and Production to acknowledge the change. Marking the spot as Scheduled and Dubbed again will put the spot back into an Archived status.

The second Ad type setting, “Disallow extends after the end date has past” allows an organization to put restrictions around the type of updates that can be made to an ad that is no longer running.

When this setting is enabled and a user selects an archived spot where end dates have passed, the option to select Extend is disabled. Hovering over this button indicates that this spot is unable to be extended due to the end date exceeding the allowable time to request an extension. Each organization can set the allowable time limits that an ad can be extended after it’s no longer running. The most common length of time is 30 days past the end date, but this is according to how often Cart ID's or House numbers are rotated.

To enable either of these settings, please contact support.

Bug Fixes

    • We fixed a delay or timing out of some spots not fully rendering in the list view.
    • Some users were experiencing Approval buttons flickering, on-going improvements are being made to improve spot update timing.
    • In some workflows, stations were remaining required during a copy process. Now, You should no longer be required to reselect stations while in the order form during a copy process.
    • Selecting multiple spots were not updating to the proper extended date selected when using the combined new end date field. You are now able to use the combined New End Date for All field to request an extension on multiple spots.
