If your client wants to extend a currently running spot to a later end date, vPPO has a quick and easy process! HINT - remember in the Extend Date process only the end date should be changed. Changing the start date or the due date will make this spot 1. look like a new spot causing confusion for your traffic department and 2. create an issue in obtaining the accurate run history for this spot

- Overview of Extending Spot End Dates: Clients often request to keep on-air spots running longer than originally planned. To accommodate this, users must extend the end date within their vPPO account.
- Selecting a Spot for Extension: To modify a spot, such as a "Buy One Get One" sale for Empire Grocery, the user must first locate the item in the list view by searching or navigating through folders. Once found, the user checks the empty box located to the left of the client name, which highlights the specific spot.
- Initiating the Extension Process: After highlighting the spot, the user chooses from three options displayed in the upper left corner of the account: copy, extend, or revise. By selecting the "extend" button, the system redirects the user to a page that indicates an action is required to proceed.
- Updating Production Order Details: Upon clicking the client name, the production order opens to reveal the current details. The user is prompted to enter a new end date for the spot and must then submit the request.
- Finalizing the Extension and Traffic Notification: Once the request is submitted, the spot status changes to "extend date". This status update notifies the traffic director that they must manually update the dates within the traffic system.
