vPro v2.0.20 Release Notes

Features Resources and Equipment Management

Station resources and equipment can now be logged, categorized, assigned, and scheduled in vPro. Each item or location can be saved manually or ingested from a spreadsheet.

Details for each resource include its value, the rate for use, and a storage location. Resources can further be grouped into "Packages" that bundle assets frequently used together. Future releases will tie the scheduled assets into reporting and billing as well.

The use of resources and equipment can be limited to the specific Ad Types that are going to require more tracking and billing. Any user not enabled to do the actual scheduling of resources and packages will still be able to see the bookings and be aware of their availability. The abilities needed to manage Resources and Equipment can be given to whichever vPro users your managers need. Please reach out to the vCreative support team for help with this.

Request Conflict Detection

To help reduce duplicate requests being entered, there is a new Firm setting that will suggest possible conflicts when an entered field is similar. The Title, Dates, Length, and Stations can all be used to detect overlaps and duplicates.

Revision Types, Counts, and Limits

The cycle of approvals and revisions can sometimes loop more than a few times. Now there is an option to help limit, or at least add awareness, of how many revisions a request has already been through. The "Special Instructions" will list how many revisions remain out of a set allowance.

Revision_Count.png

New revisions on a request are defined as being "Internal" or "Client" during the existing Revision process.

When attempting to revise again after the allowed number of revisions has been spent, the submitting user will see a warning message:

The message can be customized by vC staff.

The number of revisions, both Internal and Client are tracked for reporting and billing needs.

Changes to Request Form and Buttons

Multiple areas have gotten some improved design attention in this release. These are in an effort to continue to both simplify and unify the overall design elements, such and buttons, and layout.

On an order form, the red asterisks (*) that mark a field as required will now hide when that field is provided. This should help make it easier for the submitting user to see which fields are still required.

Also on the request form, labeled buttons have replaced the + and - buttons used to add or remove additional lines to the request. The right column of the request form has also had some formatting and alignment improvements.

Even the button used to start a new request can be customized at a manager's request. Normally labeled as "Quick Order", this can be customized to whatever terminology a group uses.

Inside the "Files" column you'll see an improved file attachment and drag-and-drop interface.

Finally, across the site, you'll see buttons for affirmative actions (Save, Choose, Submit, Finish, etc.) are quite obvious in bright orange rather than grey or other less noticeable colors.
