Extend

 

For groups and industries that involve a request having a life-span, the "Extend" process is used to keep it active longer. After the request is initially entered, a contract extension or other need could simply mean what is already being broadcast or used can keep going longer than the original end date.

The most common use of Extend in the Action Bar is simply updating the End Date to keep something on-air or being active longer than originally planned. As such, the only field that you can edit is the End Date. If multiple requests from the same order and for the same client are being extended, you can also save time entering just one date instead of once-per-request.

If you need to change more information on the request than ONLY the End Date - you most likely need to Copy or Revise, not Extend.
