Text-to-Win Contests

Creating Text To Win Plays

For Text-to-Win Contests, when adding Plays, check the Text-to-Win Play(s) checkbox (along with recurring, etc). This will add the Keyword and Shortcode functionality.

After checking the Text-to-Win Play(s) checkbox, you'll see instructions for formatting the copy of your contest play to automatically insert the Keyword and the Shortcode into the copy for each play.

PRO TIP: Copying and pasting the copy and then formatting it ensures that you get the right formatting for your Keyword and Shortcode merge fields. (Begin and end with _ and enter KEYWORD and SHORTCODE in all caps.)

Adding the Shortcode and Keywords

Once your plays are scheduled and prizes added, go to the Details / Plays tab for that promotion and you'll see that there is a Shortcode field at the top of the page, and each Play will have a field available for the Keyword.

On the Air

On the On Air screen, the Keyword and Shortcode will populate for the Plays, and contesting will work just the same as it currently does for other on-air contesting.

NOTE: This is for Local Text-to-Win Contests Only. Collective Text-to-Win Contests work differently in the On Air tab.
