General Workflow

vProMedia comes with a tried and true basic workflow that users of vPPO have been using for over a decade, but in vProMedia there is more room for customizations!

Once a request is submitted, the production workflow will begin. This workflow is setup during consultation with the local point-of-contact when on-boarding at the beginning of vPro use and is customized to the expectations of each firm.

Your forms require some basic information to allow the workflow to progress organically. Once submitted the request will require actions to be performed in order to advance to the next steps. For instance, if your firm requires approval from the director of sales before production can begin, then other actions on the request will be blocked until that approval has been met. After production is completed the request may require client/advertiser approval before it can advance to be scheduled and loaded into master control.

Ultimately a request will not fully be complete and archived until a completion actions are triggered.

For instance, in a TV station workflow, a videographer may need to show completion of their task in order for a status to change from "Needs Filming" to "Post-Production". A request in "Ad Review" status will require an approver to mark the spot as approved before it will advance to "Needs Scheduling". Finally, once a spot has been scheduled it may advance to "Needs Billing" and when that job is marked as completed by checking the "Billed" checkbox, the request will then move to archived.
