January 2016 vPPO Release Notes

Features

List View Outsourcing

Some markets have connections to outside production houses. These markets have always had to use the  Inhouse/Outsource dropdown inside the QO form to specify that a third-party production department was handling a spot request and not their local production department. While that works for groups who allow the AE/submitters to outsource to production houses, it adds steps when a Production Director or other managers are the only ones permitted to outsource work. Now, the POC column's  Prod drop-down delegation menu also features one-click access to your outsource options. Only delegators (usually production managers) will see this option, but it does save them multiple clicks by not having to open the QO form to delegate work to a production house.

Quickly outsource work to your external production services.

Clear Assignments on Copy

Any production request could have a number of POC delegations. During the Extend and Revision processes, it is common for managers have to  Firm Settings in place that remove these delegations. Now, there is a similar option to treat spots being copied the same way. When this new option is enabled by your Local Admin (or support staff at vCreative) the Writer, Prod, Dub, Traffic and Digital POC delegations will clear out when the spot is copied.

Enabled by Local Admins or your friends at vCreative Help Desk.

Display of Creative Notes

The  Files Column of the  List View includes links to files and information that Traffic and Production staff need to process requests. When a script is being written, sometimes details are provided that don't include the full  Creative Notes field on the QO form. So now, no matter what amount of creative details are supplied (Creative Goal, Style, Phone/Site and Locator) the  Creative Notes link will be available to show the creative details that were supplied.

No "notes" provided but the other creative fields are.

Due Date on Script Screen

When a producer or another creative talent open up the  script screen, we want them to have all the details they need to complete the request. We've added the request's  Due Date to the formatted information at the top-right of the screen when viewing raw copy.

Found in the upper-right of the script screen.
