Scheduling
The Traffic and Continuity portions of vPPO are typically the least time consuming of the entire process. This is simply because a traditional Production Order focuses on the production and creative elements while the sales/broadcast order is of more use to Traffic for scheduling.
Depending on a staff's responsibilities it is often just the sharing of a Cart ID and the checking of the Scheduled check box in the Cart ID column.
- Before checking a spot as Scheduled, a Traffic or Continuity person should check to see if there are additional Traffic Notes or attached files that they may need.
By default, when a Traffic or Continuity user checks a request off as Scheduled it will be hidden from their immediate view. This is analog to a paper order being handed off to another department.
In many markets if may be a Traffic or more often a Continuity task to submit Production Orders for agency or network spots. The same order entry process can be used in this case to submit a new production order.
