Selecting a liner frequency and rules to optimize your liner rotation.
When adding a new Priority-Based Liner or Program Liner to your the Liner Queue, the frequency will determine how often the liner is scheduled, and rules will keep the schedule varied from day to day.
Priority-Based Liner Rules
There are 2 rules that you can apply to Priority-Based Liners:
- No Scheduling the Same Liner at the Same Time Two Days in a Row
This rule will ensure that the liner is never scheduled at the exact same time it was scheduled the day before. It will look back to what was previously scheduled the day before, and not allow scheduling at the same time the following day. - No Scheduling the Same LIner at the Same Time It Ran 2 Days Ago
This rule will ensure that the liner is never scheduled at the exact same time it was scheduled two days before. It will look back to what was previously scheduled two days before, and not allow scheduling at the same time the two days later.
If you don't use any rules, Priority-Based liners will still attempt to avoid scheduling at the same time from day to day during the date range being scheduled.
Priority-Based Liner Frequencies
There are 5 frequencies to choose from in Priority-Based Liners:
- Run of Schedule: Fills every open liner slot with all liners that have this frequency. If you use this with a priority 1 liner, no other liners would schedule. It was designed for Priority 4 liners that you want to fill all open slots after all of the other priorities' liners have scheduled.
- Every Hour: Schedules the liner once per hour. Best if used for Priority 1 liners, as those schedule in the first liner pass. Using rules if you have more than one Available Liner Slot per hour will ensure that the liner schedules in different time each hour from day to day while still scheduling each hour.
- Every Other Hour: Schedules the liner once every other hour.
- Qty Per Selected Daypart: Requires selection of Dayparts in the Dayparts field. It schedules the liner the desired number of times per daypart.
- Qty Per Day: Schedules the liner the desired number of times per day.
With all frequencies, the scheduler attempts to schedule each liner as far apart as possible from the same liner base on the frequency and rules, if applied.
Tips:
- Rules and Frequency can be changed in the Liner Queue. Rescheduling liners after making those changes will adjust how the liners are scheduled.
- The Dayparts and Days are not required. If left blank, the system assumes that all dayparts and all days should be scheduled.
