How to Create a Floating Registration Contest

Creating a floating registration contest is similar to a standard registration contest, with the primary difference being the assignment of a daypart. This type of promotion floats in the studio tab, allowing listeners to register for a prize.

If you're familiar with creating a standard registration contest, you'll find that the steps for a floating registration contest are quite similar, with the key difference being the assignment of a daypart. Here’s how to get started!

Step 1: Navigate to the Contest Section
Begin by logging into your PromoSuite Next dashboard. Navigate to Promotions > Contest > Floating Registration Contest.

Step 2: Enter Contest Details
Fill in your contest details just as you would for any standard contest. Include the following information:

  • Contest Name: Choose a catchy name that reflects the theme of your contest.
  •  Start and End Dates: Specify when your contest will begin and end.
  • Number of Times to Run: Decide how many times you want the contest to run.

Business or Organization Qualifier: If your listeners are businesses or organizations qualifying for the prize, check the box labeled "Contest Winner will be a Business or Organization." For more information about Business Winners, click here.

Step 3: Add Your Script and Copy Points
Next, include your promotional script and key points for your on-air talent. This ensures that your audience receives clear and effective communication about the contest details.

Step 4: - Add Daypart
Finally, drag and drop the desired daypart from the left column to the right column labeled "Selected Daypart," indicating when you want this promotion to appear in the studio (i.e., mornings, middays, afternoons, etc.).

By selecting one or more dayparts, the promotion will automatically show up in the studio's floating contest tab, complete with the contest start date and daypart times. It will disappear once the contest date and daypart conclude. There's no need to schedule this promotion in the scheduling tab.

Since no prizes are linked to this floating registration contest, you'll need to create another promotional contest (such as a standard, online, floating, or grand prize contest) to award winners.

By following these steps, you can efficiently set up a floating registration contest in Promosuite Next. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to reach out to us!
