Now vPromotions can manage your Jackpot contests, including increasing the Jackpot and awarding consolation prizes automatically. Here’s how it works:
Promotions Director
- Go to the Contest Wizard by pointing at Actions on the Details screen for the Jackpot contest PRF.
- On Step 1 - Add Plays, choose Jackpot Prize, and the screen will change to the Jackpot Add Plays form.
- Enter the Minimum Jackpot amount (the amount to which the Jackpot defaults after a Jackpot Winner is assigned), the Jackpot Incr. (the amount that it will increase each time no Jackpot Winner is assigned), along with the usual information necessary for Contest Plays.
- On Step 2 - Assign Prizes, choose a Jackpot prize from the dropdown or enter a new Jackpot Prize name and add the Prize On The Fly.
- Type - Choose Variable Cash.
- Total Qty. - The dollar amount of the Contest’s total budget, and fill out the rest of the Prizes on the Fly form as you would for any Prize.
- Choose a Consolation Prize or add a Prize on the Fly for that as well along with the Quantity of Consolation Prizes that each non-Jackpot Winner will receive.
- Complete the Contest Wizard as desired.
On Air Talent
- You will see the current Jackpot Amount just under the Contest Copy under Notes and the Assign Winner button will read: “$ Jackpot Options.”
- Do not enter a Jackpot Winner’s Name until you know whether they have won the Jackpot or not.
