vCreative Integrations

Auto-Dubbing

Mr. Master A.I.M. - Fully Functional

This integration handles the transfer of files, carts and meta-data between vPPO and nearly all automation systems. It requires minimal setup on the vPPO and Mr. Master side. It can be configured to dub across the whole firm or station-by-station. This is the easiest and most popular way to get spots auto-dubbed.

OpX - Fully Functional

This direct integration requires setup on the vPPO and OpX side but can currently only dub spots by firm.

Wide Orbit - Fully Functional

Though this works fine it is not the easiest to do. We had to write this piece of software in Java. It has to be installed by us or the firm's WO Central Server (automation). It is a bit more time-consuming. The configuration is a JSON file that gets created during the installation. The configuration has to be modified to suit the firm's environment. Requires coordination with the firm's IT person or the person most knowledgeable with WO automation and Windows. WHEN AT ALL POSSIBLE, USE MR MASTER AIM OVER THIS INTEGRATION. The reason being is that we have to install the software locally at the station and maintain it. This is a lot more work than using MM AIM and doesn't provide as much functionality. The plus side to our WO application is that it is free versus the station has to pay for AIM.

WO autodub java app.

  • soft ingest, just place the file in a folder (designated in config). Hard ingest is actually calling the WO API and saying ingest this audio now and tell me if it succeeds/fails. Hard ingest bypasses all "rules" (normalization, EOM, trim, etc.) set up in WO. There is no way around that, so if a market has rules they want applied to the audio, then a soft ingest is the only way to do that. A soft ingest reports back to vPPO that the ingest was successful even though the ingest result is unknown.
  • custom placement of data (artist, title, notes) in the Scot header. Notes can be used for outcue, voicer. If notes is not specified, then the notes field will be voice - outcue (if either are specified on the order). Notes is also the same field as Trivia.
  • Added a build/version number which is recorded in the log. Helpful to know which version a market is using. If not Build is specified in the log, then we will know it is the first/initial Build.

RCS - Fully Functional

This integration works with both NexGen and Zetta products. It requires setting up on our side and on the RCS side. However, it can only dub by firm.

Audio Vault - Talked To Only

John has reached out to Audio Vault on several occasions. They just don't seem too interested. Mr. Master AIM does support Audio Vault auto dubbing.

ENCO - Fully Functional

Works with the DAD product. Requires set up on our side and on ENCO side. Can auto dub by firm or by station.

CRM

Efficio - Fully Functional

Limited functionality but does list vPPO spots inside the CRM interface. The user can view spots and listen to audio for each advertiser.

Matrix - Talked to Only

John has spoken to them about integrating but there has been no further progress.

Rumple - Given API

We have shared API access with them but haven't heard any follow-up since.

RAB Contract Manager - Given API

We have shared API access with them but haven't heard any follow-up since.

Traffic

RCS Aquira - Fully Functional

RCS used our API to integrate but only EMF is fully using it. There are multiple touch points - more information can be gathered if markets are interested.

Wide Orbit - In Development

There are several phases of this integration: Phase 1 will get carts and partially populate the Material screen in WO. It will also try to find spots in vPPO when opening the Missing Copy functionality in WO. Beyond that, we do not have a solid roadmap in place yet. Phase 1 is planned to be in Production by EOY, beta before September. WO did not use our API to integrate, we have to use their API.

Marketron - Talked to Only

We have had an audience with their new president. They are making our integration a priority but we do not have a timeline yet.

Networks/Agency

Westwood One - Final Testing

Gets the spot data and audio files from WWO and automatically creates the barter spots in vPPO. It is being tested in a few Cumulus markets with a full rollout in the works. It could be applicable to any station that processes WWO barter.

Univision Agency - Fully Functional

Univision puts files (filename = cart number) on one of their internal servers which automatically copies the file up to one of our vCreative buckets (directory/folder) on AWS. We then process those files by creating spots in every market as well as their unique X/Y system. Then, they get auto-dubbed by RCS Zetta.

EMF/RCS Aquira - Fully Functional

See the RCS Aquira above under Traffic. This integration replaced the older Counterpoint integration.

Counterpoint - Fully Functional

Counterpoint sends data to us via our API which allows us to create spots. Once the spot is processed in vPPO, Counterpoint is updated that the spot has been processed.

ECN - Fully Functional

ECN sends us XML files (sometimes audio too) of spot data which we then create spots for in vPPO automatically. Revisions are processed as well.

TTWN - Dead

iHeartMedia has basically shut the door on us for this integration. There is no effort on our part to resume or try again at this point.

USTN - In Development

We receive data from USTN and in turn create spots and/or live reads. The live reads are shown on the On Air screen in vPromotions. There is also a reconciliation function that is performed by a manager. That data is then sent back to USTN for their final processing.
