[HOW TO] Add "Permissions bar" to the top of an article

In this article, we'll tackle how you can easily add a bar to the top of your articles that quickly shows the reader (and you!) which PromoSuite users have the permissions to take the actions defined in your article. Here's an example below:

The Code Snippet

Here's a breakdown of the code snippet used to create the Permissions Bar above. You can see the section defined in the first line, the link to the Zendesk article about permissions on the second line, the 11 possible images specified next (after the "Permissions" label), then closing tags and a space to end the snippet. In the example above, all but 4 of the tags have been deleted.

How To Use

Copy the snippet above and save it in a plain text document (or bookmark this article) for easy reference while writing your articles. Then when it's time to insert your Permissions Bar into your new or existing article, select the source code option in the WYSIWYG tool bar:

For a new article, you'll be presented with a blank code box to paste the snippet into like so:

Now you can just delete the tags you don't need and leave the one or more that pertain to your article. Make sure while doing this that you don't touch the important information above or below the tags. See below for a reference:

Here is an easy reference for which tag goes with which line of code:

After adding this bar once or twice to an article, the process should become very easy.

Happy writing!

Note that the Permissions Bar will look a little bit different while you're editing the article than what it looks like once you publish. Don't worry! This is just due to the fact that the styling hasn't fully been applied while you're editing.
If you'd like to retroactively go back and add this bar into an existing article, you need to place the code snippet right at the top of the source code window that pops up before any code that is already in there. This will place the bar right at the beginning of your existing article.
