How to Mark Winners Emails as Not Spam or Junk

Learn how winners can mark station emails as “Not Spam” or “Not Junk” to help resolve email delivery issues.**

If a winner accidentally marks an email containing their winner paperwork as spam or junk, their email address may be added to a suppression list. This can prevent future winner paperwork emails from being delivered successfully.

Before the email address can be reviewed for removal from the suppression list, ask the winner to locate the message from the radio station and mark it as Not Spam or Not Junk using the instructions for their email provider below.

Gmail
  1. Log in to Gmail.
  2. Open the Spam folder.
  3. Locate the winner paperwork email.
  4. Open the email and select Report not spam.
  5. The email should be moved back to the inbox.
Outlook / Hotmail
  1. Log in to Outlook or Hotmail.
  2. Open the Junk Email folder. If the email is not there, check Deleted Items.
  3. Locate the winner paperwork email.
  4. Select the message and choose Not Junk or Not Spam.
  5. If prompted, choose the option to trust or never block emails from the sender.
Yahoo Mail
  1. Log in to Yahoo Mail.
  2. Open the Spam folder.
  3. Locate the winner paperwork email.
  4. Open or select the message.
  5. Click Not Spam.
  6. The message should be returned to the inbox.
Comcast / Xfinity Email
  1. Log in to Xfinity Email.
  2. Open the Spam or Junk folder.
  3. Locate the winner paperwork email.
  4. Select the message.
  5. Choose Not Spam or the available option to move the message out of the Spam/Junk folder.
